Here's some more info obout me.

I started as a Network Engineering Student. However, I was more curious and eager to learn about Artificial Intelligence. So, I ended up doing my graduation internship in Novel-Ti (a Tunisian startup) and discovering more about AI and Computer Vision.

In September 2018, I started working full-time at Novel-Ti as an R&D Engineer where I helped building AI and Computer Vision solutions that solve real world problems.

In August 2021, I decided to start my first experience abroad. My first role was a Machine Learning and IT consultant at Aigometri AB.
I assisted my colleagues with working on an internal project where I took care of the AI & Computer Vision part and helped in building a test platform for the project.
I also worked as a Software Engineer Consultant for one of the biggest fintech companies in Europe. My role as consultant was about maintaining integrations with third party systems and building automations to improve the efficiency and performance of the different teams.

May 2022 was the beginning of my third work experience. I was offered a Data Engineer role at Klarna. Since then, I discovered my passion about Data; my role there covers data-modeling, designing and building ETL pipelines and data-warehousing.

Why did you make this website?

I created and deployed this website as a free time activity to learn more about web development and to give more info about me and my work experience.

How long have you been practicing data engineering?

Since the third year of my work experience, I have started getting my hands on data engineering. It started as a voluntary initiative that I took, then extended to be my current position.

How long have you been practicing machine learning?

I discovered machine learning during my Masters studies. Since then, I have committed to learning everything I could about AI and its sub-fields.

I have rich experience in building Machine learning solutions and deploying them into production environments. I have worked with most of the ML and DL libraries and frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch...

Do you have any experience in Computer Vision?

During the first three years of my work experience, I have worked on several projects related to Computer Vision. I have solid knowledge of the different CV libraries like OpenCV, PIL, Scikit-image...

I also spend most of my free time working on side projects that involve Computer Vision and NLP too and post them in my GitHub account.

Why are you interested in Data Science?

I am curious by nature. What intrigues me most about Data Science and is its growing role in every field. Therefore, I aspire to learn more about them and be part of the communities working to spread this knowledge.

Despite the hype around Data Science and AI, the implementation of solid machine learning tools is still fledgling. This field is one of the most challenging ones, thus I want to work with the pioneers and innovators of these fields.

What kind of work do you see yourself doing?

Currently, I am more and more interested in Data Engineering; I spend most of my work and free time on data modeling, creating ETL pipelines and designing databases. I am also curious about Software Engineering. I build automation systems that increase the performance and reduce the workload of the customers.

Besides, I always keep an eye on the development in AI. Therefore, I use my experience in Data and Software Engineering alongside with Machine/Deep Learning to build and deploy end to end Machine Learning apps.

Position titles that do this work are not well defined. I describe my perfect future position to be a mix of data, software and machine learning engineering. Essentially a software engineer with the skills to work with data and machine learning.
